What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
During our travels, we consistently prioritize accommodations that offer breakfast. During our self-tour through Ireland, we sought lodging that was conveniently located near the iconic Cliffs of Moher. Our search led us to Hazelwood Lodge in Ballyvaughan. From the moment we booked, the communication from the owners was exceptional. They reached out promptly via email, inquiring about any special requests or needs we might have. Since we were visiting during the off-season, they thoughtfully provided a curated list of open restaurants and recommended making our reservations in advance.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and her youngest daughter, whose genuine hospitality set a wonderful tone for our stay. The room itself was beautifully furnished, blending comfort with practicality, I slept like a baby.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. Prepared by the owner’s husband and the talented chef, it was a “Continental Breakfast” unlike any we had experienced. Far surpassing the offerings of a previous stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton, the breakfast was not only beautifully presented but also a testament to the care and passion put into every dish. The quality and flavor of the food were truly unparalleled, leaving a lasting impression on us.
If you’re searching for accommodations with a personal touch, warmth, and soul, Hazelwood Lodge is the quintessential choice. It embodies the charm and excellence of an Irish family-run business, making it an unforgettable part of our Irish journey.
